Local time and summer time (DST)
Summer time
schedule in Mexico, when the time is one
hour advanced, starts the first Sunday of
April and ends the last Sunday of October,
whereas winter time schedule lasts from the
last Sunday of October to the first Sunday
of April, when the time must be moved back
in one hour.
Most part of Mexico in within the Center
Time (GTM less 6 hours in winter, and GTM
less 5 hours in summer), the same as in the
center of the United States.
The west states: Nayarit, Sinaloa, Sonora
and Baja California Sur are located within
the Mountain Time (GTM less 7 hours in
winter, and GTM less 6 hours in summer). One
hour less than in Center Time.
On the other hand, Baja California Norte has
the Pacific Time (GTM less 8 hours in
winter, and GTM less 7 hours in summer). Two
hours less than in the center of the
country.
